Turks and Caicos, May 2, 2017 – North Caicos – His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Freeman visited North Caicos on 28 April and visited the Wade Green Plantation and held a meeting with local Pastors.
Following his visit to the National Trust property the Governor commented as follows: “To visit the Wade Green Plantation is to experience a part of the history of Turks and Caicos in a very vivid form. I wish to praise the National Trust for its continuing efforts to preserve TCI’s communal history.” In his meeting with the Pastors, the Governor had the opportunity to hear about local concerns such as the menace posed by mosquitoes in Middle Caicos to the problems caused by the garbage dump in North Caicos. On these and other issues raised with him, the Governor undertook to make inquiries and to revert to the Pastors’ group.
