Bahamas, May 22, 2017 – Nassau – Another public corporation and another report of missing money has forced Police to step in and this time it is at the power company. At least two Bahamas Power and Light employees from the Accounts Department are being held and are being questioned related to a reported over $200,000 in missing funds.
The pair was late last week suspended. BPL says its Bills & Technical Unit is also involved in the investigation to find who is behind the theft. It is expected that even more staff of BP&L will be hauled in for questioning as the investigation continues.
