$1 Million Marijuana drug bust, Jamaican & Bahamians arrested

Bahamas, May 17, 2017 – Grand Bahama – On the same day, the Defense Force crew of the HMBS Rolly Gray was making a similar arrest but on the high seas where double the quantity of drugs found at the Container Port was uncovered on board a blue and white go fast boat.    The 18ft vessel was intercepted near Cay Lobos and in custody for the 1,000 pounds of suspected marijuana are one Jamaican man and two Bahamian men. 

The value of the contraband is put at $1 Million.  The Defense Force is calling this a hefty dent in the illegal narcotics supply and resulting from their strategic intent to rid Bahamian waters of illicit transnational activities.
