Turks and Caicos, April 24, 2017 – Providenciales – A call for an investigation is made stemming from a vigorous line of questioning during Budget Debate by the former Tourism Minister of the current Tourism Minister. The Bight member, Porsha Smith today filed a complaint regarding Ralph Higgs’ family owned Silver Bay hotel in North Caicos.
On the steps of the Integrity Commission office in Provo, Smith read from a statement which articulates her right to file, her reason for filing and why she expects Minister Higgs to be relieved of his Cabinet post. Among the apparent accusations is a conflict of interest, unfair advantage over other developers as Higgs sits in Cabinet meetings and use of public funds for personal gain.
Smith was joined by PNP Party Chairman and appointed member, Royal Robinson. The complainant filed with the IC shortly after noon today.
