Police Investigates Robbery

Turks and Caicos, April 4, 2017 – Providenciales – Detectives of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force have arrested a 24 year old male on suspicion of Robbery and Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm for a report that was made on Monday 20th March 2017 on the Airport Road Providenciales.

Around 9:36 PM that night, Police responded to the Morris Plaza where the victim was met and told officers that he was approached by two males known to him who began beating about his body with their fist. Whilst beating him they stole an undisclosed amount of cash from him before he managed to escape and seek help. Due to serious injuries sustained to the face, the victim had to be airlifted to Jamaica to seek medical attention.  He has since returned to the island and is recovering.
