Turks and Caicos, April 18, 2017 – Providenciales – The Premier, in her budget address to the House of assembly, introduced new plans for Infrastructural Development in the Turks and Caicos.   The Premier has allocated some $3.4 million to the development of infrastructure throughout the islands.    “In our change document, we have articulated the need to have a four year plan for the paving of major roads in the Turks and Caicos islands.”, she announced.

It is said that the new infrastructure projects will commence this year with the allocation of 1.2 mil to road and associated drainage work.  The Premier says this project will continue until there is a proper, integrated road network in the country.    The Premier also said that she will introduce a new metering system for water, along with new measures to protect the water system in Grand Turk, which is constantly being tampered with.
