Drug Bust in Nassau

Bahamas, April 27, 2017 – Nassau – A street value of $390,000 worth of illicit drugs was found early morning in Nassau. Before 7am on Wednesday 25th April 2017, officers attached to the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) acting on intelligence, went to a home at Water Street, Big Pond, executed a search warrant and found a number of large nylon bags of marijuana hidden in a baby’s back pack. It is reported that the drugs weighed a total of 390 pounds. Two residents, one Bahamian male and one Jamaican female were also taken into custody. Investigations are continuing.
