Bahamas, April 18, 2017 – Nassau – The promise of free electricity attracted scepticism and another bust to the PLP leader’s bubble when Bahamas Power and Light or BPL on Thursday night issued statement that they know nothing of the free electricity deal promoted by PM Perry Christie.

The power supplier said in a statement, “please be advised that information contained in (today’s) Tribune is unknown to us nor was it provided by the company.”  BPL has completely distanced itself from the campaign promise of Mr. Christie and added, “Our goal at BPL is to provide consistent, reliable, affordable electricity service to our customers, while maintaining a viable operation…”
