Turks and Caicos, March 6, 2017 – Providenciales – Out exercising this morning, two women in two different areas of Providenciales were attacked by men trying to or getting away with robbing them. It is a frightening account for so many and Police in a report today say, one woman was walking in Grace Bay near the Sands resort around 6am when a 6ft tall man exited a vehicle and demanded money. She fought with the man and ran away.
The second incident was minutes after 6am near NAPA on Leeward Highway. A short man from an SUV ran across the street, tackled the woman to the ground, grabbed her cell phone and ran back to the vehicle and drove off. Both women were unhurt physically and police have posted a list of how to stay safe while exercising and they are investigating the crimes.
