Bahamas, March 8, 2017 – Nassau – Government and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines yesterday signed a multi-million dollar agreement which gets construction started almost immediately on new docking.  Coco Cay is the Bahamian destination for RCL which wants to be able to berth their world’s largest fleet of cruise ships at the Cay.

It is called a $150 million dollar investment, which will created 30 construction jobs right away, 210 more construction jobs in the near future and the project will also include a training school, which RCL says will prepare Bahamians for jobs at sea and which PM Perry Christie said assures that 200 Bahamians are hired each year for work on Royal Caribbean Cruise liners.  RCL currently employs 140 Bahamians.
