Bahamas, March 2, 2017 – Nassau – Hubert Minnis is calling out the Prime Minister in his attempt to spin a disgraceful act of his own willful doing into a story of self pity about a bad choice.  The FNM Leader said the apology was not good enough.  He said, “Instead of offering an unequivocal apology, the Prime Minister said if he were given the opportunity, he would simply not make the crass gesture again.   But this is not good enough.   This is not an apology to the Bahamian people.  This is not what leadership looks like.   This is the action of what has come to define the leadership of Perry Christie – smoke and mirrors.”

Minnis said the experience of the elder statesman should have governed his temperament and charged that for too long, Perry Christie has been allowed to bring shame to the Office of the Prime Minister.  The Member for Killarney remains resolute that Mr. Christie should resign office.
