Bahamas, March 30, 2017 – Nassau – As Bahamians residents are continuing to be urged not to eat corned beef until there is an all clear given, the Caribbean Public Health Agency held a food borne diseases or FBDs workshop in Trinidad and Tobago.

Participants are now challenged to “use the WHO Food-borne Disease Surveillance Manual to individually assess their country’s current ability to combat and prevent FBDs.   They will also create action plans to identify areas of priority for national surveillance and the resources required to enhance food safety.”

It was said that FBDs are up significantly in the region.  The workshop was held from March 21-24.
