Turks and Caicos, March 7, 2017 – Providenciales – A Youth Listening tour series is launched by the Minister of Youth as a part of her 100 day promise to hear from, document and create policy based exclusively on what young people have to say.   “These youth tour series will be instrumental in instigating programs and policies.”

Minister Josephine Connolly was joined by Youth Director, Jasmine Parker and a Youth Council Member, Ronlee James who shared that the tour has two launch sites and two launch dates – March 14 in Provo at the Gus Lightbourne Gym and March 17 at the HJ Robinson High.    “After the official launch in Grand Turk, we will commence the formal and organized listening sessions with groups such as the ROTARAC, Young Cooperate Alliance,  youth church groups and high school students.  The age group that we are targeting are ages 12 to 29.”
“They feel that they are losing their voice, well here is an opportunity to regain your voice, and become a part to the decision making going forward.  The Youth Listening tour will speak to a wide spectrum of youth, from the employed, the unemployed, our young entrepreneurs, persons who have a dream or gold.”
