Fire may have been intentionally set says Miller

Bahamas, March 5, 2017 – Nassau – Tall Pines MP, Leslie Miller says he thinks the Jubilee Gardens fire was intentionally set; says vagrants always lighting fires at the Harold Road dump.  Worse he’s seen in 35 Years.

Prime Minister Christie among officials on the scene of the fire described by residents as too big for the Fire Department to handle.  Fire and Police are joined by the LPI Airport aerodrome fire squad and manpower support through the Defense Force.

Flamingo Gardens clinic opened to deal with any Jubilee Gardens patients; it remains open until 9pm.  Acquinas College is closed on Monday.  There had been a call for evacuations since earlier today.  Social Services has been assisting residents of Jubilee, and others affected by the fire that was said to have started around 1-1:30pm.  There are no reports of injuries.
