Turks and Caicos, March 1, 2017 – Providenciales – The Turks and Caicos Islands will welcome a dynamic couple in Gospel Youth Ministry from March 9-11, 2017 at Community Fellowship Center; and the experience is free and open to individuals who want to be better equipped for the work of youth development.   Kim and Shari Babcock are a husband and wife team who have exhibited that they believe, “God has awesome plans and purposes for our kids, not just for when they are older but for right now.”

The Babcocks are not only well able to impart the key skills on how to reach the Youth for Jesus Christ, but they can expound on their own work where they are empowering youth at their ministry in Argentina.  Youngsters from 12-18 years are leaders at King’s Castle which allows young people to reach out to other young people about the Gospel.

Pastor Bradley Handfield, Senior Pastor of Community Fellowship Center who has now been successfully hosting these skills development events says it is important now more than ever to ensure that young people are touched by the Good News of the Gospel.  Pastor Bradley adds that the Babcocks will give Youth Workers’ in the TCI greater confidence and a new skill set as they reach out to our children.  “The National Youth Workers Symposium 2017 is about inspiring people to serve our young people and that it has to be done in the power of the Holy Spirit,” said Pastor Handfield.

Pastor Handfield who in 2012 held a National Leadership Conference featuring Dr. Myles Munroe of The Bahamas; who in 2016 held a National Youth Conference, featuring from Barbados, Bishop Andre Thomas and his wife, Prophetess Nina Thomas and this year hosts the youth workers’ symposium said the Babcocks are specially selected.

“Kim and Shari have reached over 66,000 young people for the Assemblies of God and I believe that if adults in our communities could just understand the value they too can bring to young lives, they would attend this free opportunity to be enriched by this loving couple.”

On Thursday March 9, 2017 the National Youth Workers Symposium opens with a down to earth session, where the Babcocks will present and allow for Q&A.

On Friday March 10, 2017 the National Youth Workers Symposium hosts a Youth Concert featuring the country’s most celebrated gospel singers with guest artists DJ Ray and Matthew Jennings, hosted by Almando Rigby.

On Saturday March 11, 2017 the National Youth Symposium continues with a half day session from 9am to 12 Noon where there will be more practical use of strategies including break-out sessions.

On Sunday March 12, 2017 the public is welcomed to join morning worship at the church at 9am where the Babcocks will minister the word of God to the congregation.

Pastor Handfield said the teaching is so flexible that anyone can benefit from the instruction, but cited that teachers, youth workers, volunteers and social workers would certainly be empowered by the sessions.  All events take place at Community Fellowship Centre on Leeward Highway, across from Nell’s Gift Shop.
