Bahamas, March 1, 2017 – Nassau – Bahamas Prime Minister Perry Christie has done the honourable thing, in the honourable House of Assembly and apologized today for flipping the bird to tell a political naysayer to ‘eff off’.

The media reports say the country’s leader seemed genuinely remorseful for using the hand gesture at a PLP event this past Monday night.   During the meeting today, PM Christie said he did not want people to think the hand gesture was ‘him’ and that he does ‘regret’ doing it at all.

The PLP Leader was responding to an allegation that he owned some condominiums by way of political impropriety.  Christie says he hopes that now, all who attended the event and would have seen the flipping the bird photo blazed on the front page of the Nassau Guardian and the short clip circulated on social media will now know, it is something that he wished he did not do.

FNM Party Leader, Hubert Minnis had called not only for an apology but for a resignation of the Prime Minister.
