Nassau, Bahamas, February 9, 2017 – A fast acting police officer stopped his own armed robbery but also shot dead an armed robbery suspect and likely busted up a crew wanted by authorities for similar crimes.  Police confirm now that one of its members was jogging on Bamboo Boulevard shortly after 5am Wednesday, when a silver Honda with four men pulled up and attempted to rob him.

The officer, said to be in fear for his life, pulled his service revolver and fired – the bullet struck and killed one of the men, who was left on the scene by his accomplices.   ACP Stephen Dean in that report says the trio sped off, and two of the group later in the day turned up at the East Street South Police station, in that getaway car and they were arrested. The Coroner is aiding in the investigation.   No word yet if the four males here are the four Police yesterday announced as being hunted in an island wide search.
