Police Investigate a number of Burglaries

Providenciales, TCI, February 6, 2017 – Officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force are also investigating two burglaries that between last night (Sunday 5th February 2017) and earlier this morning on Providenciales.

Around 10:06 am police responded to a home in the Leeward Gates area where the complainant was met and told officers that himself and other occupants of the house left around 4:06 pm leaving everything intact. Upon their arrival at 9:30 am, the realized a number of items stolen. They were three (3) Ipads, one (1) Samsung Galaxy, a black and navy blue suitcase along with clothing, passport, backpack, Kindle tablet, Cash, credit cards, prescription sunglasses and television. Officers made checks around the building and into the nearby bushes where tire tracks were found.  Investigations are ongoing into this report.

Also in Leeward Gates this morning (Monday 6th February 2017), around 12:07 am, Officers proceeded to another report of Burglary at a home in the Hummingbird Lane area and met the complainant who stated that he left his house around 6 pm and upon his return later he noticed a number of items had been stolen. They were Passports, suitcase along with clothing, shoes, wallet, credit cards, and a large quantity of jewelry.  Checks were made in the surrounding area, but nothing was found.
