Providenciales, TCI, Febraury 16, 2017The country will soon learn what spending under a PDM Government will look like now that the new administration has finalized its spending plan for the country.  The Fiscal Strategic Policy Statement or FSPS is off to London now for approval by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office according to Cabinet minutes from the Governor’s Office released just before 2pm today.

This means the Cabinet has agreed to the spending for the government ministries and their departments, which had to be resubmitted after the Administration called for a more comprehensive plan from the Ministries.

The original budgets and fiscal requirements were reviewed and returned following agreement to do so in a January 25th Cabinet meeting, it was said then that: Cabinet called for all ministries, departments and agencies to resubmit more realistic budget bids including prioritising bids and identifying savings to help offset new funding requests.”

The do over for those budgets was expected back to Cabinet for a February 1st meeting.   There is high, national expectation of the PDM’s Budget; the new fiscal year begins April 1, 2017.
