Male robbed and shot by three masked men

Providenciales, TCI, February 6, 2017 – Detectives are investigating a robbery incident that occurred last night (Sunday 5th February 2017), in the Gracebay Road area of Providenciales.

Around 10:58 pm Police responded to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre where they met and spoke with the 57-year-old male victim who told them that he was walking towards Flamingoes on the beach Restaurant when he was approached by three (3) masked men who demanded his wallet. He cooperated with the culprits. One of them shot him in the left leg before making off.  The wallet contained a large undisclosed amount of cash and credit cards. It is too early in the investigation to say whether it was a targeted or random incident.
