Hon. Premier Sharlene Robinson on National Prayer, Praise and Thanksgiving Services

Providenciales, TCI, February 8, 2017 – The Hon. Sharlene Cartwright-Robinson, Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands takes this opportunity to invite the general public to the National Prayer, Praise and Thanksgiving Services to be held throughout the Islands.

As a Christian nation, it is imperative that we recognize that as we journey through life, we embrace the opportunity to give thanks and praise to the Almighty God for his goodness and mercies that have been bestowed upon us. God has truly been good to us and we have much to give him thanks and praise for as we reflect on the course of our lives. We as a people continue to face many challenges and we need to see God’s face so that we may receive His guidance and heal our land.

These Church services seek to bring all of the Turks and Caicos Islands together, representing all sectors of society in praise and thanksgiving to God for protecting our people and in prayer with one unified voice ensuring that the voice built on by our fore-fathers will prevail as we, collectively work together in partnership to address and alleviate the social ills of our communities.

Our country has been faced with an increased number of social ills plaguing our community from crime, drugs and self-harm amongst our general population. Undoubtedly, our country calls for desperate Prayer and Thanksgiving.  Throughout the services, there will be prayers for our Churches, our children, youth and Schools, all Parliamentarians and non-elected arm of Government, the law enforcement officers/ agencies Prayers for our Civil Servant and Private sector and our elderly.

The services will take places at the following days and time:

  • Grand Turk – Salem Baptist Church on February 12, 2017 at 2:30 pm
  • Middle Caicos – Mount Moriah Church on February 19, 2017 at 11:00 am
  • South Caicos – New Testament Church of God March 3, 2017 at 2:30 pm
  • Providenciales – Bethany Baptist Church on March 5, 2017 at 2:30 pm
  • North Caicos, Kew – Church of God of Prophecy March 19 2017 at 2:30 pm
  • Salt Cay – St. John’s Anglican March 10th 2017 at 1:00 pm.

The Hon. Sharlene Cartwright-Robinson is inviting the General Public to attend these services as we seek God’s guidance and give him thanks for the countless blessings for our beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands.
