Nassau, Bahamas, February 9, 2017After four of their security guards were tied up, including two elderly men, the Ministry of Education is considering arming the officers.  The guards were robbed by four gunmen who also robbed and ransacked at least C.C. Sweeting Senior High school and then the assailants left the guards, tied up and unable to call for assistance.

The two officers at C.C. Sweeting were not discovered until after 6am Tuesday morning. Police are calling this very serious and are particularly disturbed by the treatment of the two older men, who ACP Stephen Dean expressed give valuable service to the country and should not have been treated so harshly.  Dean said the men were shaken up pretty badly when he checked up on them.

The other school break in this week was at Anatol Rogers junior high on Faith Avenue, where similarly, the two security guards were tied up and the school, was robbed.  The Ministry of Education said a surveillance camera was taken in that case.  Counseling is provided to the C.C. Sweeting security guards revealed the Ministry.
