Providenciales, TCI, February 24, 2017 – A special school catering to children with special needs will get a special gift tomorrow as the TCI’s IGY marina at Blue Haven Resort will keep up a tradition of the company with a community building project to benefit Extraordinary Minds Ashley Learning Centre.  We spoke to Adam Foster, General Manager of the Marina yesterday.

“We’re gonna build an outdoor learning and playing area for the kids, which is great.  And it’s about not only us giving back and the marinas throughout the region giving back on the same day, but it’s also about our guest giving back.  So it’s about the captain and crew rolling up their sleeves and getting dirty, and getting covered in paint, and at the end of it  coming up with what will be just a great facility for these kids to be able to grow and learn as much as they can.”

Located in down town Provo, Ashley Learning Centre provides educational opportunities for children with Autism who are unable to access public school education.  The Blue Haven Marina volunteers will construct an outdoor play and discovery area, with plans to install a fence, ground cover, and sand pit, as well as provide outdoor furnishings.

“Environmental Art, thank you very much, they’re doing the plans and getting up some lovely bright colors for the kids.  PTS Equipment, Belinda there, they’ve donated lots of tools for the project so that was really really kind of them.  And last but definitely not least is the Do It Center,  and the Adams family they have been fantastic for what they were able to give.  They’ve donated the majority of the material for this entire event.”

The work will be done tomorrow and the community is welcomed to the Thank You event at Salt Bar & Grill tomorrow evening.
