Nassau, Bahamas, February 6, 2017What does an everyday citizen, the Drug Enforcement Unit, the Selective Enforcement Team and the Firearms Tracing and Investigation Unit all have in common?  They are responsible for getting four more guns off the streets of Nassau.

The DEU took in a 9mm handgun with 29 rounds of ammunition on Thursday in the Soldier Road area; a concerned citizen turned in an AK 47 with 21 live rounds of ammo, also on Thursday; the SET, on the same day, picked up a .40 Austria pistol with 11 rounds from a man walking on Fowler Street and the FTIU acting on information got a 12 gauge shot gun out of the Coral Harbour area.

No one was taken into custody, the man on Fowler Street allegedly dropped the weapon, ran off and managed to get away.
