Police arrest three, theft ring & illegal Jamaicans

Nassau, Bahamas, February 6, 2017 – Another theft ring busted up by the Royal Bahamas Police when they arrested and charged three people linked to an illegal gun and stolen goods.  Assistant Commissioner Stephen Dean reports that it was a routine patrol on Lazaretto Road in the southern division that led to officers identifying a Honda vehicle suspected in a number of armed robberies. 

Upon approach, the man sitting in the vehicle allegedly tossed out a gun; that weapon was a loaded .38 pistol; two live rounds of ammo.  There was a subsequent search of that man’s home, where suspected stolen goods including jewelry and electronics were found.   Also found, two Jamaican women who were arrested and charged for breach of Bahamian immigration laws.
