Nassau, Bahamas, February 9, 2017 – A staggering 10,000 plus applications have been received for the 1,500 jobs advertised for Baha Mar; overwhelmingly oversubscribed but those in receipt of those applications are thrilled.  Kirsty Cowper, VP of Human Resources at Cable Beach Resort called the interest ‘fantastic’ in a media report.  Cowper said the interest of people to either want to join or rejoin them is exciting and today 300 applicants were interviewed by their Hyatt Team.

A new buyer announced by Government has brought a resurgence of energy at the property, once dubbed the ‘Riviera of the Caribbean’ and now with an April 2017 opening touted, thousands are expressing interest in careers at Baha Mar.  Cowper told media the plan is to hire 5,000 at the resort in the long run; for now anywhere from 1,500 to 1,700 people are needed. These newcomers will add to a current staff of 340 people.
