Providenciales, TCI, January 23, 2017 – One of the biggest unsolved cases is getting new energy say the TCI Police.  Closure and comfort to the family is the goal as the Force renews efforts to solve the horrendous killing of Kevino ‘Bah’ Smith of Grand Turk;it is a case that rocked the nation two years ago when the 25 year old first went missing then was found, likely his body in pieces, in a shallow grave in Breezy Brae in the Capital.

Young Smith’s family, especially his mother Patsy Smith, have been highly critical of the handling of the investigation, regularly writing on social media that her boy has been forgotten.   The TCI Police on Thursday issued a statement to counter that stance and explained that a number of people have been arrested and these individuals are out on bail.  Charges in the probe include murder, conspiracy to commit murder and preventing the course of justice.

The renewed enquiries, said Police in a media statement, are the first of many.  Residents with information are also being appealed to as investigators say they are aware that there are individuals who have vital information; Police need you to come forward with it.  Kevino’s body was found on April 16, 2015, he had gone missing on March 6, 2015.
