Providenciales, TCI, January 31, 2017 – A rape in Provo was reported to Police last night but the details are being held say Police due to the nature of the case.
Magnetic Media is again at loggerheads with Police on information of this nature and the balance that can be achieved for the benefit of public safety and the protection of the identity of any sexual assault victims. Our newsroom is particularly disturbed by the vileness of the crime against a mother, whose children were reportedly nearby when the rape happened. Two men we are told are blamed for the violation.
The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands police say they are investigating and that it is their policy not to divulge more in the matter.
