Providenciales, TCI, January 30, 2017 – Michael Misick will get a one month extension to reconstruct his legal team after his lead lawyer, Ralphe Thorne, QC quit all of a sudden.

The TCI Sun Newspaper broke the story today about Thorne resigning as lead attorney for the former Premier who is engrossed in a corruption allegation trial and who today showed up with a stand in attorney Arian Kayne of the UK –– and his local instructing attorney, Jahmal Misick from Misick and Stanbrook and who asked for two months to rearrange his defense team.

Thorne, according to the article authored by TCI Sun Editor in Chief, Hayden Boyce was asked to show up in court today to explain his actions at such a critical juncture in an already laborious trial proceeding.  The Barbadian attorney was not there.   Justice Paul Harrison said he was quite surprised by the move.

Both Thorne and Jerome Lynch, QC the legal lead for McAllister Hanchell had been missing since after the Christmas break due to other trial commitments said the story; they had expressed this would be the case in advance.   But this latest development where Thorne has now quit the job of representing, the ex premier is a new matter and Mike Misick, when asked of the situation by Magnetic Media said he has no comment on why the two have parted ways.
