Providenciales, TCI, January 24, 2017 – Local captains and skippers will improve on their knowledge of boating in these waters thanks to a training underway as an effort of the Maritime Department. Sea School International is in country for a three day session which will impart information on basic fire fighting, personal survival techniques, personal safety and social responsibilities, first aid and CPR is being taught and a basic boat refresher course is also available.
There is a financial investment by those attending the annual STCW/95 Basic Safety Training which culminates with boaters getting their boat masters’ license. The training is being held at the Environmental Centre and started yesterday.
