Providenciales, TCI, January 12, 2017 – A 25 year old male of the Turks and Caicos Islands has been arrested in furtherance of the investigation in the murder of Gary Mead. Yesterday (Wednesday 11th January 2017) the male was formally charged and cautioned with Conspiracy to commit Robbery and appeared at court #1 this morning.
Gary Mead was shot and tragically killed on Friday 30th September 2016, while collecting cash from his business “Slots-O-Fun” on Airport Road. As investigation continues, this is now the fourth person to be arrested and charged by detectives.
On November 14th 2016, one male was charged with offences of Murder and Robbery. Two other males were charged with Conspiracy to commit robbery and and two counts of keeping firearms and ammunition. A Sufficiency Hearing is set for March 3rd 2017.
