Providenciales, TCI, December 1, 2016 – Voter Education town hall meetings are culminating now in training for poll workers and today there was an exercise held by the Elections Office for Provo.

Dozens were out at the Gus Lightbourne Gym to get a clear understanding on how this unprecedented General Elections, where there are 52 candidates, three political parties and as many as 10 Independents running for the 15 House of Assembly seats, will function.

Even more pressure to ensure fairness, a smooth and swift process, that ballot papers are clearly comprehensible to voters and that staff is fit to manage the polling stations, maintain law and order and ready to count the ballots cast.

On Friday, Dudley Lewis, the Elections Supervisor says he will be meeting with party leaders and their returning officers and that on Saturday there is training for candidates and their agents.

By Wednesday the training by the Elections Office will move to North Caicos.
