Providenciales, TCI, December 23, 2016 -In her inaugural message as Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands, Hon Sharlene Cartwright-Robinson laid out some key appointments outside of her Ministers and House of Assembly selected members.
Madame Premier Robinson revealed that in the Office of the Premier, she will have at her side, Hon Derek Taylor in Grand Turk and Hon Douglas Parnell in Providenciales.
There are more appointments to come said Premier Robinson in that address to the country via national radio on Tuesday evening; hours before the new PDM Ministers were in debriefs with their Permanent Secretaries who have now all been given the ‘Change Document’ or PDM Manifesto so that they are aware of the priority areas of the newly elected People’s Democratic Movement Administration.
There was a Christmas Message also from Madame Premier; in it she said we must remember the Christ child and now focus on unifying the nation after what was a tough election season. Yesterday marked one week since the General Elections where the PDM party secured 10 House of Assembly seats; four of the All Island and six of the constituency seats.
