Police say they were forced to shoot a Boy Burglar

Providenciales, TCI, December 10, 2016 – Shots were today fired in Grand Turk at a crime scene and a boy is recovering in hospital and will have to face charges linked to a botched burglary.

Police only confirm that a 17 year old teenager has been shot after a burglary went drastically wrong.  Magnetic Media is informed that the boy was hit four times by Police fired bullets.

Press Liaison Officer, Kevin Clarke issued this statement tonight:  “Around 4:30 AM today, Police Officers on Grand Turk responded to a report of a Burglary in Progress at a business establishment located on Church Folly. Upon arrival on the scene, officers came in direct contact with the suspect which resulted in shots fired.  He was taken to the Cockburn Town Medical Centre and has undergone treatment for non-life threatening injuries.  He was arrested on suspicion of Burglary.”
