Police investigate two separate shooting incidents

Providenciales, TCI, December 17, 2016 – Officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force are investigating two shooting incidents that occurred this morning (Saturday 17th December 2016) in the Blue Hills and Wheeland area of Providenciales.

One incident that left a Grey Nissan Fuga Car riddled with bullet holes occurred at 6:00 am on the Blue Hills Road in the vicinity of the Rubis Gas Station. The lone driver of that vehicle was not injured.

The second incident which occurred at 6:37 am, left a 27-year-old male in need of medical assistance. Police arrived in the Bay Road area of Wheeland, where the victim was met and told officers that he had just reach home and still in his vehicle when he was approached by a male who fired shots at him. He sustained wounds to his arm and parts of his body.

Medical services transported him to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre where he is getting medical treatment for his injuries.   A 20-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of this incident.
