Providenciales, TCI, December 23, 2016 – Monday is Maskanoo and organizers yesterday had a site inspection along the Grace Bay strip and spoke about security, opportunities for shopping and dining and the show which will include a street parade and native concert.
“We continue to be encouraged by the support and the local community that’s involved here every year. We’re on the Grace Bay strip, where the sights and the sounds of Maskanoo will come alive on December 26th,” said Stacy Cox, TCHTA, Executive
“We’re so excited from the outpouring of sponsorships and from the community, and we’re looking forward to yet again another successful year. We hope you’re ready to have some fun because we have an amazing lineup scheduled, this includes arts, crafts, food, drink, music, dancing and a lot of cultural presentations and activities,” said Karen Whitt, TCHTA & The Palms Resort
“Starting at five o’clock we have DJ Shakes, he’s gonna rock the strip until we have Kew Band Links featuring Ms. Barbara Johnson. And then we have a special ‘Bush meets Soca’, we have the Caribbean Farm music band along with Kew Band Links. And then we have Zeus, from Grand Turk on the saw to give us that real bush experience of rip saw and rake and scrape. This year I am pleased to announce that we have the Philippino Association they are back on the strip with their parade, they will be joining Kitch (We Funk Junkanoo) so I’m excited about that. As always Maskanoo is a concert, it’s a parade and a street party all in one,” said David Bowen, Maskanoo Founder, Grace Bay Resorts
The TCHTA Maskanoo is in its 7th year and goes from 3pm to midnight on Boxing Day holiday on Monday.
