Providenciales, TCI, December 5, 2016 – Earlier this evening, Michael Misick issued a statement to say he will not appear at the debate.
My fellow Turks and Caicos Islanders, after much prayer and deliberation I have decided not to be a part of the at large independent debate that is scheduled for Tuesday December 6th 2016.
In my view the debate as formatted puts the independent candidates at a disadvantage. I believe it’s only right that the full slate of all at large candidate should debate each other. We are all listed equally as candidates on the election ballot if the public is to have a fair view of each candidate we must all be on a level stage. It is imperative that views are presented fairly so that the public can decide who they would like to vote for.
My platform and ideals remain the same and I will continue my campaign and my efforts to return Power to the People. To that end I will be having a mass rally at 7pm on Wednesday 7th December in the Bight at the parking lot of Brother Will Bar. The public is invited to attend.
