Finance assembles team to negotiate with NHIB staff

Providenciales, TCI, December 7, 2016 -The Ministry of Finance has appointed a select committee to delve into the problems at the national health insurance board.

The Ministry says this is another way they are attempting to resolve the disputes at the embattled social health care plan which has had two sick outs, a change in CEO, revelation that it is this year $6 million in the hole and that financial dire straits demands a bail out from the country’s contingency fund to the tune of $2 million.

Conflict Management experts have been retained and named are, Mark Greenway, Human Resource Director for the Government; Reverend Claire Robinson, Ordained Priest of the Methodist Church and Wendall Swann, Attorney at Law and partner of the law firm Swann and Swann.

The Ministry says it was at an impasse with the group from the NHIB.  The negotiation was to start since Friday gone, a resolution was to be put to Cabinet which met for the final time before the General Elections today.
