Election Observers arrive in a Week says Governor

Providenciales, TCI, December 1, 2016 – Elections Observers arrive next Thursday said the Governor’s Office earlier today and meetings with key stakeholders begin straightaway once the team arrives as we countdown now for the December 15 General Elections.

His Excellency Dr John Freeman said the Mission will be led by Northern Ireland Legislative Assembly member, Jim Wells who will be the official spokesman, lead observer, and Mr. Wells will see to the drafting and dissemination of the preliminary and final reports.

The team of Election Observers will be Shivonne White (Montserrat) and Michael Stewart MP (Jamaica) who are responsible for observing the pre-election day, polling day and election count procedures and will assist in drafting the CPA reports.

They will be supported by election experts and analysts Anne Marlborough, Konrad Olszewski and Alasdair Rendall.  Media gets to meet the observer team three days before the General Elections; the mission is schedule to be in the TCI from December 8-18.
