PDM says Resign Now, Review Now

Providenciales, TCI, November 29, 2016 – The PDM today called for resignation of the Premier and Finance minister in the aftermath of the revelation of the shocking financial state of the NHIP.

Party Leader, Sharlene Robinson said her concerns with the Plan date back to her stint on the Consultative Forum where she offered that the fund would not be able to generate enough money to take care of the medical bills of employers, workers and their children.

The Opposition Leader who also heads the Public Accounts Committee reminded that it was in recent months that she exposed there had been no audit presented for scrutiny in the six years of the National Health Insurance Plan.

Robinson said a motion was shut down in the House of Assembly when presented by her requesting full disclosure on the Health Plan and the PDM leader added that the contents of a Cabinet report of last week, where it was said the Plan’s financial woes were unknown, is unacceptable.

Not only does Robinson believe the two leaders knew of the state of NHIP, but that they intentionally suppressed information from reaching public domain.

The Opposition Party is calling for the announced review of the NHIP to happen, not end of January but immediately.  The PDM charged that the Premier, Rufus Ewing; Finance Minister, Washington Misick and immediate past Chairman, Mark Fukford are all unfit to run or hold office and should be rejected at the election polls.

Mark Fulford last Friday declined comment; he referred Magnetic Media to the current Chairman, who is Delton Jones.
