PDM leader calls on residents to cease from destroying party billboards

Providenciales, TCI, November 25, 2016 – “I have already addressed this issue this Election Season but feel the need to restate our position and to call on supporters from all Parties to cease the destruction of Party Billboards etc  immediately.

The PDM as well as the PNP has been victims in having at least of its candidates Billboards pushed down or destroyed.  It is my understanding that PNP signs were pushed down and left at the scene.  I am also aware of the fact that the Billboard for our Five Cays representative and Party’s Deputy Leader has been totally removed inclusive of the wood whilst our Wheeland and Blue Hills candidate have had Billboards destroyed.  This is totally unacceptable and we are calling on those responsible to cease these actions right away.

I have also in this Election Season called on supporters to rise above petty and personal attacks. I note with concern a statement on Facebook accusing the opposition of bashing. That statement we categorically deny as we have as a Party taken a firm position and this is why our Rallies have been met with such a positive response. We remain committed to sticking to the issues and to offering solutions/plans on how to better the lives of our people.

We are not able to control every action of our supporters as one should be able to accept but we will continue to keep our standards high and no candidate or party official has to date engaged in such a petty campaign.”
