Providenciales, TCI, November 14, 2016 -The Integrity Commission after a meeting to consider applications of potential candidates has determined that there is nothing in law to prevent Michael Misick being a contender for office in the December 15 general elections.
In a letter, the IC told the at large contender that the Political Activities Ordinance has nothing in it to exclude him; so Michael Misick will run and is next preparing for Nomination Day this coming Friday.
‘No registration disqualification conditions’ fit Mike despite his ongoing corruption trial and the alleged reasons his political career as PNP Leader and first Premier was ‘interrupted’ in 2009. There will be another round of scrutiny at the nomination stage and another “if” Mr. Misick wins one of five All Island seats.
At that time the Integrity Commission will review all successful candidates according to regulations linked to Persons in Public life.
