Hurricane Ike House burns down, arson?

Providenciales, TCI, November 14, 2016 – Two years and two months is all Beatrice Gardiner got to spend in her brand new European Union built home; on Sunday everything inside the house was destroyed by fire.

Most frightening is that the home owners believe the fire was intentionally set, the act of malice and could have been more serious as two youngsters were at home alone when the blaze broke out.  Police confirm the fire as happening shortly before 8pm and that it was reported to have taken place while Beatrice visited a neighbor.

The pretty pink home, completed by Higgs Construction was the first to be handed over by the Deputy Governor who headed the Disaster Recovery Board.  Anthea Beatrice Gardiner had been waiting for the rebuild since 2008s Hurricane Ike, finally she was presented the keys on September 29, 2014 and now she has to start all over again.

Family told Magnetic Media that a political row happened earlier in the day and stemmed from an exchange of views from a few nights before.   Police say they will first have to determine if this was indeed arson and that the investigation depends on the findings of the Fire Department.
