Providenciales, TCI, June 17, 2016 – Delano Williams is going to the Olympics. At just 22 years old, the 2012 IAAF World Junior Champion and 2015 IAAF Bronze Medalist will be the first Turks and Caicos Islander to accomplish the feat. Sadly, he cannot do it under the TCI Flag as the country is a UK Overseas Territory, but he still makes sure it is known that he is all TCI.
Delano in the debut of his story, which is posted online talked about shedding his TCI uniform to the British one. “I will always have that team TCI on my chest, the British press was really hard on me, but after a period of time though, when I start winning medals for them, they start to love me.”
