Providenciales, TCI, November 21, 2016 – A 34 year-old male of Kew Town Providenciales was charged with a number of firearm related offences which occurred on Monday 14th November 2016 in Blue Hills, Providenciales.
The charges stemmed from a report that was made around 9 p.m on that date when the 34 year old gunman with masked entered the City Market Store located on the Millennium Highway and demanded cash after firing shots inside. He was tackled and subdued by customers inside of the store and restrained until police arrived.
The charges are Carrying Ammunition, Carrying Firearm, Discharging firearm and Robbery. He was taken to the Magistrate’s Court where he was not allowed to enter a plea. A sufficiency hearing is set for January 2017.
