Providenciales, TCI, October 31, 2016 – It is believed as many as 100 Haitian migrants landed illegally and are on the run from authorities.  The group got past the coastal radar and again made landfall in NW Provo.  It is unclear why they were not detected.

Immigration officers reportedly caught two work permit holders, of Haitian origin, helping in the migrants’ escape.  Wet seats in their vehicles – a bus and a car –  are a part of what caused Immigration to make the arrest Magnetic Media is told.

Once man works as a  laborer for Discount Liquors, both men who were arrested for aiding and hiding the illegal Haitians are in their 30’s and will face serious charges.

TCI officers were unable to catch any of the migrants but it is believed this latest group was taken, according to reports to Magnetic Media, to an area known as Polato Yard which is in Blue Hills just behind Carrington’s commercial complex.  The boat transporting the Haitians has not yet been identified or seized.
