Ministers on opposite ends in HOA concerning Millennium Heights development

Providenciales, TCI, July 8, 2016 – The House of Assembly convened today for business and a major issue made it to the two minute statements of members in the early part of the session.  Wheeland Member, Delroy Williams called on the government to shut down the Priton Development, which is responsible for the phase two affordable housing scheme.  Hon Williams criticized that the statement Wednesday by the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Amanda Misick was not enough and disrespectful to the years and years of problems faced by the hundreds of home owners.   Williams said government is responsible in part for the shoddy construction.

Minister Amanda Missick did reply in the early session too; saying that her Planning Department did its job but threw residents of Millennium Heights for a loop when as they put it, she showed no empathy for their litany of issues and are still outraged that she actually thanked Priton, as one home owner put it for the affordable houses built.  Currently, the Millennium Heights home owners are exploring their options, including a possible group law suit.
