A 19 year old on Friday found out that he will spend the next three years of his life in Her Majesty’s Prison in Grand Turk for arson and it reportedly all started with a fight.

The young man was found guilty of intentionally setting fire to several structures in Five Cays on January 14, 2016 after he and his brother argued; Police report that Stavon Harris filled up an empty bleach bottle with gasoline, tossed that gas onto the house where his brother lives and lit it afire – that fire spread to several other homes.

Stavon Harris, reports Press Officer, Kevin Clarke, is guilty of two counts of setting fire to a building and one count of setting fire to a dwelling place.

The fire happened behind Enid Capron Primary school and raged for hours and left at least 14 families homeless.

No one was physically hurt, thankfully.
