Providenciales, TCI, July 22, 2016 – No stone unturned in the murder investigation of 26 year old Sorineida Arias and others was the promise of the Governor in a media statement issued by his office, yesterday. His Excellency Peter Beckingham said that he has met with Edwin Hernandez of the Dominican Consulate and assured him that there is no problem with the Dominican Community holding demonstrations, and that he is satisfied that the incident was isolated. “I was grateful for the reassurances of the DR community that any gatherings should be peaceful, and that they regretted the isolated attacks on the police by a small number of their group.”
Confidence was again expressed in the Commissioner and his team to solve the crimes, and next week when the National Security Council meets, there will be heavy discussion on, as H.E. put it, ‘options to strengthen security measures.’
