Providenciales, 09 Mar 2016 – An eleven year employee of the Immigration Department is the first Government worker to receive a Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association Star Award.
Deandra Dames was hailed as the most outstanding civil servant serving guests to the country at the recently held awards gala. Deputy Governor, Anya Williams is hailing Dames in a media statement, with: “…she continuously demonstrates a zeal for her job and is fully cognizant of the importance of her role.”
The Minister of Border Control, Donhue Gardiner said: “I have had personal experience of the warm welcome home extended to me by Ms. Dames and I have no doubt she is deserving of such an award.”
Dames and her colleagues were saluted by the DG.
The actual name of that Star Award won by Deandra is Hospitality Hero.
